HOLY FAMILY SUNDAY – FAMILY LIFE DAY AND JUBILEE CELEBRATION IN THE PARISHES

The Diocese invites all parishes to celebrate Holy Family Sunday, which will also be marked as Family Life Day and a special Jubilee Celebration for Families.
This important day is dedicated to strengthening and renewing Christian family life, inspired by the Holy Family of Jesus, Mary, and Joseph. Parishes are encouraged to organize a solemn Holy Mass focused on family unity, love, faith, and commitment.
A key highlight of the celebration will include the renewal of marriage vows for married couples and, where possible, a Mass wedding celebration in the parish church for couples seeking the Sacrament of Matrimony.
Parishes are encouraged to actively animate and facilitate their Family Life Groups to plan and coordinate family-centered activities. These should include marriage enrichment seminars, weekend family retreats, and pastoral formation sessions aimed at strengthening Christian marriages and promoting stable, faith-filled families.
Parishes are also encouraged to invite representatives from the Diocesan Office for Family Life to share with families, offer guidance, and support ongoing pastoral care for marriage and family life.
This celebration is a moment of grace to renew commitment to Christian family values and to celebrate the dignity and vocation of the family as the domestic Church.
All families are warmly encouraged to participate fully in this joyful Jubilee celebration.
