Mchungaji 94.5 F.M
Radio Mchungaji, meaning “The Shepherd,” was officially formed and launched in 2016 as a major pastoral and community communication initiative of the Catholic Diocese of Maralal to serve the marginalized pastoral communities of northern Kenya. Established as the 11th Catholic radio station in Kenya through the support of the Kenya Conference of Catholic Bishops (KCCB) and Waumini Communications Company, the station was created to strengthen evangelization while also addressing social challenges through peacebuilding, education, health awareness, and community empowerment. Broadcasting on 95.4 FM, Radio Mchungaji reaches diverse communities across Samburu County and neighboring regions through multilingual programming in Swahili and local languages.Since its formation in 2016, Radio Mchungaji has remained under the pastoral and administrative leadership of the Catholic Diocese, with appointed priests directing its mission and operations. Through consistent diocesan guidance, the station has grown into a trusted platform for spiritual nourishment, social transformation, and civic education. Today, it stands as a lasting symbol of the Diocese’s commitment to using modern communication as a powerful tool for evangelization, reconciliation, and sustainable human development across northern Kenya.

Denis Mutuma Mtetezi
Mtetezi serves as the Radio Manager with commitment and visionary leadership, guiding the station in delivering impactful programs that educate, inspire, and unite the community.

Lesururu Serving in welfare, technical, and broadcast operations, he plays a vital role in promoting staff well-being, maintaining smooth technical performance, and ensuring quality on-air transmission for effective communication and service delivery.

Peter Korima (Pitter Pitt)
